Quick answer
Each player compares the original input with that same recording processed by KleenMic. Switching OFF and ON keeps your place, so you can compare the same moment at the same playback volume.
We make KleenMic. These are constructed recordings processed with the installed app in Quality mode, not live calls or competitor tests.
Choose a background
Keep your playback volume fixed. Each twelve-second example starts with two seconds of background sound, then the same spoken excerpt. Only one example plays at a time.
Speech and dog barking
A recorded bark repeated behind the same spoken sentence.
Hear the difference
Speech with guitar music
Recorded instrumental guitar playing behind the voice.
Hear the difference
Speech in café ambience
A café recording with conversation, wind and distant surf.
Hear the difference
Speech and keyboard typing
Typing clicks overlapping normal speech.
Hear the difference
Speech with fan noise
A steady recorded fan behind the same voice.
Hear the difference
Lower-level speech and typing
The voice reduced by 12 dB while the typing stays at the same level.

About these examples
How the samples were made
The run used the installed KleenMic 1.0, build 2.8.21, in Quality mode with echo, room reverb, voice isolation and incoming audio disabled. Saved input files were processed through the app’s file-verification path; no physical microphone or meeting app was used.
Each pair keeps the same twelve-second timeline and playback gain. Original and processed versions use the same short edge fades and MP3 encoding settings, with no separate loudness boost. The input combines one credited male voice with a credited background recording. The barking example repeats one recorded bark; the lower-level example reduces normal speech digitally rather than recording a naturally quiet speaker.
These six examples cover one voice and selected recordings. They do not establish an independent listening score, a microphone-specific result, or a CPU, battery or call-latency benchmark. Krisp, SoundVeil and Apple Voice Isolation were not tested on these inputs.
Try your own microphone
Voices, microphones and rooms sound different. During your trial, keep the microphone position and gain fixed, then repeat a short sentence with the background noise you normally hear. Listen for missing words before deciding how much noise removal you prefer.
Use headphones for KleenMic’s live Test Mode, and finish with a private call to hear what reaches the other person. The setup guide explains the microphone route.
Common questions
Can I switch OFF and ON without restarting?
Yes. Use the two buttons below the timeline to compare the same point in the recording.
Are these live microphone recordings?
No. They are controlled mixtures of credited speech and background recordings, processed with KleenMic’s installed app.
Does quieter background sound always mean better speech?
No. Listen for complete words, consonants and changes in voice tone as well as residual noise. Your own microphone test is the best next check.
